Service Description

Wilderness and Remote First Aid (WRFA) course focuses on essential skills for managing medical emergencies in outdoor environments. The training includes thorough assessments to prioritize injuries, with specific attention to head/brain, neck, and spinal injuries, emphasizing proper immobilization techniques. Participants learn to respond to heat emergencies, identify and treat hypothermia, manage altitude-related illnesses, address allergies and anaphylaxis, administer first aid for burns, assess and handle bone and joint injuries, and provide proper wound care to prevent infections. The WRFA course equips individuals with practical knowledge and hands-on skills to effectively address a spectrum of medical situations in remote settings where immediate professional help may be limited or unavailable.
