Service Description

Anaphylaxis training is a type of medical training designed to educate individuals about the symptoms, causes, and treatment of anaphylaxis, a severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. The goal of this training is to help individuals recognize the signs of anaphylaxis, respond quickly and appropriately, and take steps to prevent future reactions. This course is designed to be taught after AED/CPR/First aid course. During anaphylaxis training, participants will learn about the common causes of anaphylaxis, including food allergies, insect stings, and medication allergies. They will also learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, which can include difficulty breathing, swelling of the face and throat, hives, and dizziness or lightheadedness. Participants will also learn about the steps to take when someone is experiencing anaphylaxis, including how to administer an epinephrine auto-injector (such as an EpiPen), call for emergency medical services, and provide basic life support if necessary. Anaphylaxis training may also cover strategies for preventing future reactions, including avoiding allergens, carrying an epinephrine auto-injector, and developing an anaphylaxis action plan. Overall, anaphylaxis training is essential for individuals who have a history of severe allergic reactions or who work in fields where they may come into contact with allergens, such as healthcare providers, teachers, and food service workers. By learning how to recognize, respond to, and prevent anaphylaxis, individuals can help to save lives and provide a safe and supportive environment for those with allergies.
